Keeping in touch.

One time, my friend Dick Farnell emailed me to tell me he had not been killed in the earthquake in California. Since he lived in Alaska at the time, and he hadn't told me he was traveling to California, it only occurred to me to worry after I had heard from him.

Hi Mary. You know there was a time when Scott told me that if anything happens to him, I will have no knowledge of it at all, since there is no one else in his circle of friends or family who knows me. So now I really treasure this "friendship" I have with you. And I have never really found someone whom I share so many thoughts and feelings about things like the way I do with you. Really. Thank you for being Scott's friend. And mine.

I am happy to be your friend, and Scott's, and if anything happens to Scott, I will let you know. I hope of course he will be OK.

Please sometime send pictures. Mary

How about pictures of me and my kids? :-) I'll send them on your email :-*

I would love to see pictures of you and your kids! Please do send them. I'll be looking forward to that.

Hopefully nothing will happen to Scott while I'm away--because then I won't know. I worry about him a lot because of his diabetes--worry he will go into a coma or something and because he lives alone, no one will know.

Yes, that is what worries me too. A lot. He always say that he can take care of himself and I know that, but I still worry. I sent the pictures to your email.

He can take care of himself when he is lucid--I worry about when he is not lucid due to the diabetes.

And also, he is not as careful as he should be sometimes. None of us are, but with him, it is more critical. But, it is also his choice.

Thanks for the email.

Yes, and I have said so to him myself. And he said in more ways than one that he can take care of himself and that if anything comes to that end, it will be between God and him. And also that I am too far to do anything anyway. That hurt.

I'm sorry he hurt you, but he may not have intended to--he may have just been being practical. Still, I do know what you mean and I do worry about him.
